The play Time Bombs and Arsenic, which will premiere at the festival, is an absurd crime comedy set in Turku that follows people striving for wealth and love in the midst of their struggles.

The creator of the original idea for the play, Riina Noro, draws her interest from crime stories, true crime, series from all over the world and Seiska tabloid magazine. She has been developing characters since 2024 in the Autism Foundation Finland’s art group at the Lapinlahden Lähde.

“When society bounces often enough, one can end up on the straight and narrow,” Noro summarizes the themes of the play. Duration approx. 40 min, no intermission.

The Vautsi Theatre Groupoperates and rehearses at the Autism Foundation Finland in Vallila, Helsinki. The current lineup has been working together since autumn of 2025. The small but all the more energetic theatre group bases its activities on its shared values: creativity and honesty. Through their art, the group wants to strengthen the rights of autistic people to live and express themselves.

The motto of the Vautsi Theatre Group is: “Autistic people see things that neurotypical people don’t.”
